Environmental Product Declaration
This Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) provides verified life cycle assessment data for Fire-Trol® prefabricated fireproof steel columns, including OH, OO, OS, SH, and SS configurations. Designed for commercial construction and architecturally exposed structural applications, Fire-Trol® columns combine load-bearing structural steel with integrated fire protection in customizable round, square, and rectangular profiles. The EPD reports cradle-to-gate environmental impacts for the extraction and production of raw materials, transportation to the manufacturing facility, and manufacturing processes. It includes data for global warming potential, acidification, eutrophication, ozone layer depletion, smog formation, fossil resource depletion, resource use, water consumption, and waste generation. The assessment is based on 2023 manufacturing data from Fire-Trol’s East Hartford, Connecticut facility and is independently verified in accordance with applicable ISO standards and UL Environment PCR requirements.

Health Product Declaration
Review material health and product transparency information for Fire-Trol® OO-RR prefabricated fireproof steel columns with this Health Product Declaration (HPD). The declaration provides detailed disclosure of product contents and screening results for the materials used in the column assembly, including structural steel, concrete, vermiculite, cement, and other components. Fire-Trol® OO-RR columns consist of a load-bearing steel column encased in concrete and vermiculite and enclosed within a non-load-bearing steel shell. The columns are UL rated for 2-, 3-, and 4-hour fire-resistance classifications. For architects, engineers, and design professionals, this HPD provides product-specific material transparency information to support informed specification, material evaluation, and project documentation. It also reports recycled-content ranges and screening against HPD Priority Hazard Lists and GreenScreen for Safer Chemicals®.
